The Group and The Bridge

As usual, once the group had reached the road, everybody lined up for the traditional picture with the bridge in the background. All in all, this was a very good, very enjoyable Ritual Sacrifice, although the general consensus was that there were too few people. There was some conversation concerning the possibility of having Public Ritual Sacrifices more frequently than once a year (something which The Church has been pushing for ever since starting the tradition), however, as usual, nobody was willing to commit to a date, so it's still kind of up in the air.

Ironically, driving away from the bridge, just prior to going around the corner towards the freeway onramp, it appeared that some other person had come along, at some time during the period in which the Ritual was happening, and splattered at least one fairly large (or, possibly, two or more smaller) pumpkins on the road. The entrails had been driven over several times, and thus were somewhat puréed, but here are some pictures of them anyway.
