PUBLIC RITUAL VEGETABLE SACRIFICE 17 October, 1999 Orientation of Vegetable Entrails      The orientation of the large proportion of the entrails can be seen in this photo, both from above, at bridge level, and on the level of the trail. Aiming was fairly difficult given the great height from which the pumpkins were thrown, combined with the safety issue (despite rumours to the contrary, the bridge still has no railing), but in spite of this, at least four pumpkins landed either directly on, or very close to the pathway under the bridge, and at least two others landed close enough to the trail to allow fairly good photographs to be taken of them. Careful examination of these photos will reveal obvious prophetic indications to even the most ignorant jock or disco-person.
