Over the past few years, The Church of Tina Chopp has repeatedly come across a number of other people who share Tina Chopp's name. The following is a more-or-less up-to-date list of those who we have found the most interesting.
This friendly person is the Washington State Democratic Representitive from the 43rd District, Mr. Frank Chopp.
David Chopp was an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. His web page has disappeared, however.
Rebecca S. Chopp appears to be a very important person at Emory University... and Yale University, and Colgate University, and Swarthmore College. She is currently President of Swarthmore, but she has also been Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Emory, and Dean of the Yale Divinity School, and President of Colgate. She also wrote The Power to Speak: Feminism, Language, God which doesn't mention Tina anywhere. Wowie zowie, I suppose...
Dr. Richard "Dick" Chopp is a famous urologist from Jollyville Road in Austin, Texas. Sort of gives you an interesting perspective on all those rumours about "real men" from Texas. Personally, I would want to avoid seeing a urologist named "Dick Chopp", but that's just me.
Leslie Chopp was a Broker/Associate for Coldwell Banker Walker & Co. Real Estate Agency in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but her page has also disappeared.
Dr. Michael Chopp is either the scientific director of the Neuroscience Institute at Henry Ford Hospital, or a Professor of Physics at Oakland University, or, possibly, both. He appears to be co-author of an article published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, entitled "A Model for Multiparametric MRI Tissue Characterization in Experimental Cerebral Ischemia With Histological Validation in Rat" -- Dr. Michael Chopp tortures rats for a living... charming. He's obviously not related to Tina... and Tina likes it that way!
Dr. Joshua Y. Chopp, DDS, lives in Lawrence, New York and grew up in Brooklyn. He currently works at the NowDental clinic in Bellmore and Flushing (scroll down to see his bio).
We have become aware of the fact that the word "chopp" means something in Portuguese. It turns out that it means "beer". Thanks to the Brazilian who cleared this up for us.
