Malcat Sacrifices his Vegetable

On our way down the hill, we ran into a very late Malcat, who was on his way up the hill with a fairly sizeable pumpkin. The group had sort of split up on its way down the hill, and Mal had already passed up a number of the Tinites who had been on the bridge prior to meeting up with the main part of the group, so it was decided (much to Mal's relief) that his pumpkin should be sacrificed from where they were, rather than having everyone hike up to the top of the bridge again.

It turned out to be a very good decision, as the picture taken of Malcat (seen to the left) is one of the best pictures of a Tinite Sacrificing his Vegetable that the Church has ever seen. Mal climbed up on to the top of a stump at the edge of a ravine, and threw the pumpkin vaguely east into the smooth, flat side of a very large rock at the bottom of the ravine. The pumpkin splattered very nicely, and, of course, there was another round of interpretation of the Sacred Entrails.

Malcat's pumpkin splattered against the flat side of a very large rock at the bottom of a ravine, thus making his entrails quite easy to access, view, and interpret. There was a generally good spread, three pieces fell inside up and one fell outside up. The seeds were well dispersed and scattered in a very wide and random pattern, and there was an up-and-down arrangement in the middle of the spread. The whole spread was oriented more-or-less northeast to southwest in the downhill crook of a steep switchback in the trail. All in all, the prophetic signs looked very positive, and were very easy to interpret.
